The author does a great job of merging research with he stories of young girls around the world as share the obstacles to achievement they face whilst pursuing their education. The stories are very inspiring. The book really redefine what it means to educate girls! The book provides much needed discussion on gender equality in education.

We have the resources to raise generations of women leaders, if only we recognized girls as worthy and capable. Fortunately, Dr. Nuamah does. She lays out years of careful study into the conditions that both hinder and facilitate the development of young girls in societies around the world. This book blends policy, statistical research and narrative beautifully. Definitely a must read for anyone who cares at all about the next generation!
