"Simple, concise and straight to the point. This book does exactly what it says on the tin. That being said, this book in my opinion, is more geared towards beginner investors as more experienced investors will be familiar with a lot of the strategies pointed out. That being said, it doesn’t take away from the fact that its a book that’s well put together"

  • Dividend investing is the most straightforward way to create wealth in the stock market. This book does a terrific job of explaining all the intricacies of company's payout ratio in relative to their earnings and what percentage your cut at the end will be.
  • Great book and solid analysis. It’s clear that even though companies that are paying high dividends have performed remarkably well in recent years, they have become a bit expensive in terms of most valuation metrics. While they can still pay high dividends, the previous low-interest rate setting pushed many of these companies to get more into debt to expand their reach. When interest rates increased, many of these companies are now under pressure. I’ll be looking to minimise my exposure to this by adjusting my portfolio accordingly - hopefully dividend paying stocks that either have a solid cash flow to manage changes in debt servicing no matter how large or the that don’t have that much debt on their balance sheet!!
  • f you’re looking to get started with stock market investing and, more specifically, using dividend stocks as your investment vehicle, then this book is a great companion. Full of useful insights, you’ll learn the basic foundational knowledge you need to get to grips with your investments. I learned a LOT - most importantly that understanding the mechanics behind and around ex-dividend payment is crucial. You need to purchase a dividend-paying stock at least two days prior to the record date because it will take two days to settle the trade. It’s so easy to get this mixed up as a beginner - I know i struggled with it initially. Wish I had this book earlier.
  • I read in this book about the options I can choose and decided that investing is the best for me. It was interesting and useful to read, especially if you hesitate when deciding on a passive income item.
  • I was very satisfied when I purchased this book. This is really an informative book. With this guide you will learn the
ins and outs of dividend investing and teach how anyone can achieve financial independence. If you want to get into
dividend investing, but don't know where to start? Whether you're new to investing or an intermediate then This book is perfect for you. I really liked this book and would recommend it to anyone who needs such type of information.
  • I found this book to be very enlightening. I agree with the author that If you buy a stock on or after the ex-dividend date, you are not entitled to the announced dividend. On the other hand, if you buy a stock before the ex-dividend date, you are entitled to the payout. Be that as it may, the stock normally drops in price by the amount of the expected payout because buyers are not entitled to the next payout on the ex-date. Excellent analysis!
  • love the simple way concepts were presented in this book and the fact there’s a section that’s dedicated to treating key technical terms, what they mean and how to go about computing them for e.g. the relationship between the retention ratio and the earnings per share. Lot’s of examples are also given to help consolidate ones understanding. I enjoyed reading it so far
